Results for most laboratory tests performed during an outpatient doctor’s visit will be available in your MyChart at NYU Langone account three business days after the results are finalized. Results for imaging studies are available within three to five business days after the results are finalized. Results for most laboratory tests performed during an inpatient stay will be available in your account one business day after the results are finalized.
Non-laboratory tests are not automatically made available in your MyChart at NYU Langone account, and must be released by a physician. If you do not see an expected test result, please contact your physician’s office to request that these results be released to your MyChart account.
Certain laboratory tests of a sensitive nature are not automatically released only to MyChart at NYU Langone, and are released at your provider’s discretion. Yes, with proper consent, a family member or caregiver may be granted access to a patient’s MyChart at NYU Langone account. Proxy access provides full access to the patient’s MyChart at NYU Langone account as well as access to the patient’s information on a MyChart Bedside table while the patient is admitted to the NYU Langone Health System. Consented proxies will need to have their own MyChart at NYU Langone account in order to access the patient’s information. Parents or guardians of patients 11 and younger can receive access to their child’s MyChart at NYU Langone account by completing a consent form during their child’s visit to NYU Langone Health System. Proxy access to a child’s account will automatically terminate on the child’s 12th birthday. Patients 12 and older with an active MyChart at NYU Langone account may choose to add a proxy user to their account by completing a consent form during their visit to NYU Langone Health System. Proxy access to patients under 18 years old will automatically terminate on the patient’s 18th birthday, at which time the patient may re-consent to provide proxy access to the account.Return to Top
Patients aged 12 and older may revoke proxy access to their account at any time by accessing the Family Access Settings page in their MyChart account. Should a patient wish to re-establish proxy access to their account at a later date, a new consent form will need to be filed at their next visit to NYU Langone.Return to Top
Unfortunately, no. MyChart at NYU Langone offers direct access to your own personal health record. All communications sent from your MyChart at NYU Langone account are logged in your record. Therefore, communications about another individual's information would be placed in your health record instead of your family member’s, which could potentially jeopardize your medical care.Return to Top
No. Due to the sensitive nature of medical information, you each must establish separate accounts. However proxy access for adults is designed to ease the responsibility of overseeing health care for another adult, such as an elderly parent, spouses, and partners.Return to Top

We aim to protect your privacy and the security of your information. While logged into MyChart at NYU Langone, if your keyboard remains idle for 15 minutes or more, you will be automatically logged out of your account. Yes. All payments are made through a secure third-party company called Trust Commerce. Trust Commerce protects your information with a system called "Point-to-Point Encryption." This replaces your credit card number with an electronic "token" when you sign on.Return to Top
Currently, this is not supported. MyChart does however store your credit card information on our secure server for future use. If you want to make a payment, just go to the Billing tab, then Billing Summary and click on PAY to pay your balance. You will be asked to enter your billing and credit card information. When you are done entering the information, click on SAVE CREDIT CARD FOR FUTURE USE on the bottom of the screen. Now anytime you need to make a payment, instead of having to re-enter card information, you can just click on the stored credit card on the bottom of the screen and enter your security code to continue to submit the payment.Return to Top
Yes. You can use MyChart to make payments for your Hospital bill. You can also use MyChart to make payments to providers who are active in the MyChart system. If you are not sure if your provider uses MyChart at NYU Langone, please contact their office staff for confirmation. Co-payments and pre-service deposits can be paid using MyChart, however, most offices will request that such payments be made at the time of your visit.Return to Top

Yes. The MyChart® mobile application is currently available for your Apple© or Android™ device. You must have an existing MyChart at NYU Langone username and password to use the application. Download the MyChart app in the App Store or on Google Play. Then, click on NYU Langone Medical Center as your healthcare provider, and login with your MyChart username and password.
